* Florida Literacy Week Celebration in January is a fun-filled week to promote and celebrate reading, literature & research. Every day students will participate in various fun-filled activities that create excitement for reading, books, and research. One of my favorite part of Literacy week is when the classrooms guess the "Mystery Readers". Students listen to 2 mystery readers. Clues about the readers are posted around the school to help students figure out who they are. Students conducted research on various ocean animals to support the theme of literacy week "Take a Deep Dive into Literacy". Students will be able to dress up as fishing detectives. With entertainment and enjoyment, students reinforced their reading and writing skills, along with research skills, and good character education. Detailed information about each day is provided below in the flyer and Pear Deck Presenation. It was a wonderful week of research, problem solving, literacy skills, technology, and much more.
