FACILITY

Blue Lake Elementary is a new school in Boca Raton. The library is designed with the latest collection, resources, and equipment. It is central hub of our school campus. When you first walk into our library you will be overwhelmed by its openness, brightness, beauty, comfort, warmth, and inviting environment. Its size does not only have the capabilities to accommodate our student & staff population, but the resources to assist them to learn and grow. The library's design is flexible and adaptable to various activities from small to big. We have hosted many functions and book fairs that have accommodated a large number of students and parents. We conduct media classes daily, and simply enjoy reading in a cozy area.

FURNITURE (Meet ADA Compliance)

Our media center is a brilliant layout with lots of windows to create a while luminous library. Our bookshelves run along the walls with some additional standing bookcases for our fiction and nonfiction section that are flexibly stationed. The bookcases, tables, and circulation desk are all easily movable. We have comfortable soft sofas for cozy reading. Our circulation desk is easily accessible for students to check out or drop off books through a slop in the circulation desk.

The media center has state-of-the-art technology for instruction and TV Production Studio. We have two Interactive Smart Boards; a computer cart with 24 computers; a story time area with an alphabetic rug and low leveled rockers; a workroom with copier, laminator, poster maker, and AccuCut letters, numbers, objects. We also have two student bathrooms and one adult bathroom. The media center has an office room for the media specialist and media clerk. It is big enough to store materials and work comfortably. In the office we have a desktop, three laptops, one MacBook, and 2 hand-held self-circulation gadgets. We are fully equipped with the necessary tools to have an innovating media center and program. Students will learn to use all the digital resources, so paper and pencil are no longer a necessity with computers at the ready.

CLIMATE

As you can very well see from the pictures below and our overall portfolio, our library fosters the love of books, learning, and research. The climate of our library embodies the love of knowledge, love of books, love for people, love of life, love of world knowledge and awareness, love for organization, love for library management, love of cultures, love of technology, and last but not least, the love to create and collaborate.
