I have been teaching for 24 years altogether and 19 years as a media specialist. I have had the opportunity to develop and create 3 brand new libraries and media programs throughout my career. I have a Master's Degree in Media Education K-12 from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education Grades 1-6 from Stetson University. These schools definitely prepared me to be an effective leader and educator.

I was extremely honored to have been recognized in Palm Beach School District "Thank A Teacher".

Media Clerk

Our media center is also staffed with a full-time media clerk. Mrs. Milenkova is a vital addition to our media program. Not only does she assist in all of our activities and events, but she also provides great support to our students, teachers and school. Ms. Milenkova possess excellent organizational and communication skills, is friendly and approachable, and has a genuine desire to help others. Her great attitude and commitment enhances our media program. Together we make a powerful team.

Since the mid-January, the principal and I were working together to create our media center and program. We communicated virtually at least once a month and kept all our notes through a shared Google Slide.

SCHEDULING

Our Fine Arts classes consist of Media, Art , Music, Physical Education, Robotics, and Social Emotional Learning. Each Fine Arts class is 30 minutes long on a 5 day rotation. Schedule Link, Rotation Calendar

The media center is opened daily between 7:30 to 3:00 p.m.

From 7:30 a.m. to 8:10 a.m. the library is available for the WBLE News Team, open library, Battle of the Books, special projects, and planning.

The media website is a great tool and asset for our students, teachers, and parents. It is a great method to keep the community informed of what is happening in the media center. The website is updated frequently to reflect the latest news, activities, and resources.

PROGRAM EVALUATION

The media program is analyzed and evaluated with the use of various tools, such as Exc3el FLORIDA'S K-12 LIBRARY PROGRAM EVALUATION TOOL, media reports, students' test scores, district, state, and national standards, ISTE standards, and best practices. The reports below have helped us make necessary changes to our media library and program that best align with our school's mission statement and media goals.
